800,000 euros to get rid of emails and get more done

Challenge:
In a short time, Bothive grew into a loyal digital companion: the route for accountants. The Ghent-based company was ready to scale and tap into new markets and target groups. About itfull potentiallifting it up from the platform, andnew featuresandapplications to develop, additional resources and additional people were needed.
Approach:
Bothive was already having discussions with Liantis about a partnership. The social secretariat offers the communication platform to its own customers. Liantis was willing to go one step further and participate in Bothive.
To prevent too much dilution, Bothive had set its sights on 50/50 financing. Liantis invested 400,000 euros, the bank doubled that amount to a total 800,000 euro. A good example of stack financing: without Liantis's capital injection, the bank would not have gotten on board; without the bank loan, Liantis would not have participated in the capital.
The Harbour helped Bothive create a strong financial file to draw up: a solid financial plan, a watertight business case, an investor memorandum, a convincing pitch deck,... The Harbour also played a crucial role in the first phase of the negotiation.
Result:
The capital injection puts a turbo on Bothive's ambitions. The company is already full new employees recruiting to achieve the growth plans. By the end of the year, the number of employees will at least double.
Initially, Bothive wants more accountants and accounting firms bring on board. After that, the company is also looking at new target groups and foreign markets.
“We are a young company. The Harbour has helped us enormously to determine our valuation and our funding needs. Thanks to them, we made the right choices at the right time and were able to close the best deal.”
