1 million euros to grow with bol.com and Amazon and co.

Distrilink is a marketplace agency. The company helps companies sell their products on major marketplaces such as bol.com and Amazon. Creating an account, marketing, payments, deliveries, customer service: Distrilink takes care of everything from A to Z.

Challenge:

Sales via marketplaces is on the rise and is increasing year after year. But many companies are failing to find a strong customer experience to create. Distrilink sees opportunities there to grow internationally. With a capital increase the company wanted to invest both in technology — a fully automated platform — as in people to conquer new customers and new markets.

Approach:

Together with Distrilink, The Harbour drew up a strategic business plan on and determined the required funding that was needed to achieve these plans. Step one was a capital increase. Distrilink got 6 investors on board: 2 from our own network and 4 that brought in The Harbour. The company was mainly looking for smart capital, investors who have already earned their stripes and bring the right experience and expertise to help Distrilink grow.

The Harbour assisted Distrilink throughout the entire process leading up to the capital increase: contacting investors, setting up and preparing pitching sessions, due diligence, negotiations, etc. The capital increase set a leverage on additional funding channels. Distrilink also launched a crowdlending campaign via WinWinner, 59 investors signed up for that campaign. Finally, Distrilink was able to count on the support of PMV (ParticipatieMaatschappij Vlaanderen) and the sofa.

Distrilink's funding story is a typical example of stack financing. The capital increase and the crowdlending campaign increased the company's credibility and PMV and the bank's confidence in the capacity to repay the loans taken out.

Result:

Distrilink helps companies like Ecover, Veritas and Danone to sell their products on major marketplaces. The raised funding puts a turbo on the company's ambitions. Distrilink could do it automated platform that forms the backbone of further optimization of all activities. The company is also recruiting extensively. new employees.

“We weren't just looking for money, we were also looking for experienced investors who could help us grow. Thanks to The Harbour's network, we found the right profiles that challenge us and take us out of our comfort zone as entrepreneurs.”
