550,000 euros in funding for healthy snack boxes from JustBite

JustBite supplies boxes with healthy snacks to companies and individuals. The idea came about when founder Kevin found out firsthand that many “healthy” snacks turned out to be not that healthy at all. So Kevin launched such a service himself! Later, Aitor joined the company as a second founder. Their ultimate mission? Making people aware of their health and encouraging healthy behavior. But to do that, funding was needed.

Challenge:

Kevin and Aitor were eager to anticipate the future. Now that JustBite already had some brand awareness and enthusiastic customers, and the team was already growing nicely organically, it was time to scale. To do this, the founders did need funding: this way, growth could be accelerated.

Approach:

When Kevin and Aitor came knocking on our door, we started drawing up a realistic financial plan. Based on this, we were able to determine the funding gap for their plans. That turned out to be 550,000 euros.

We reviewed the current capital structure to determine which funding would be most appropriate. From that, we land on 50% (quasi-) capital and 50% bank financing. If we were only opting for capital, the founder duo would have to hand over too many shares. In addition, sufficient (quasi-) capital was needed to keep the chances of success with the remaining bank financing as high as possible.

Result:

JustBite's funding shortage could be fully filled! This with both capital and bank financing. The bank provided a loan of 350,000 euros.

In addition, the founders increased their own investment and a private investor from our own network invested 185,000 euros. Now Kevin and Aitor can focus on their next mission: making the world healthier bit by bit, break after break.

“The Harbour has a professional and customer-oriented approach. They know what they are doing and actively think along with you. We had a good follow-up to our file and received regular updates about where our team stood.”
